A spirited 40-acre West Virginia mountainside homestead where art, food, nature & community come together in the rugged Allegheny Mountains

Welcome to Appalachia, a cultural region of the Eastern United States that includes all of West Virginia and twelve other states.

It’s late summer 2019 and we’ve been busy. Our 1300+ heads of garlic are now available for sale. We have organically raised pastured pork and chicken as well as a special breed of pastured lamb. The 19 varieties of tomatoes Margaret stared are all in full production and we’ve canned over 30 quarts so far. Not to mention our Moutainside honey painstakingly made by the famous “Ladies of Poe Run”. Please come visit us at the Elkins Farmers Market (nearly) every Saturday from 8am til noon.

Poe Run Craft & Provisions is a working homestead and a nonprofit center dedicated to good food and community empowerment.

Our organizational mission is to celebrate and reaffirm Appalachian folk arts, cultural heritage, resourcefulness and health & wellness in the common ground areas of art, food and nature through artist and community workshops, activities and gatherings that strengthen community bonds, personal resilience and workforce development.

We are Margaret and David, this has been our home for little over a year now, after leaving Los Angeles and traveling the nation in our teardrop trailer. We consider ourselves stewards of this historically significant home and way of life
