A spirited 40-acre West Virginia mountainside homestead where art, food, nature & community come together in the rugged Allegheny Mountains

Welcome to Appalachia, a cultural region of the Eastern United States that includes all of West Virginia and twelve other states.

This past summer we built a new duck house for our crew of 15 heritage breed Khaki Campbells and we gardened like crazy in the 2,000 square foot terraced garden in front of the house. Whether a building project or harvesting ramps (the famed wild garlic), we always have different things happening.

We are Margaret and David, this has been our home for little over a year now, after leaving Los Angeles and traveling the nation in our teardrop trailer. We consider ourselves stewards of this historically significant home and way of life
