Well it was bound to happen. Margaret got sick first, I followed 2 days later, seemingly not as bad. Muscenex sure is good in times like these. Obviously cooking and sleeping have been a challenge for sure.
So we are heading to warmer weather. Yellowstone was right there, but we couldn't convince ourselves temperatures in the low teens was a good idea and we bailed on snowshoeing. What sucks is we just got MSR Snowshoes specifically for this part of our trip.
None the less and not detured we are taking this all in stride. We've spent another night in Wyoming, our country's least populated state. We actually like the change and diversity of its land. High mountains, steep rolling plains and wildlife!
As we continued south we stopped at a Boysen Rservoir. We were alone, not a soul around us. The distant thunder of trains in the background. The reservoir was frozen which made for some amazing sounds as the ice moved were calming during the night.
In the morning the sun was bright and the sculptures created by the thawing of the ice were unreal...
We staying put for awhile.... 4500 miles of sights and skies we'll not soon forget.
